THE HARPERS RETURN – CLARSACH MO CHRIDHE
The concert reflects the group’s heritage featuring many traditional tunes and songs from the island. of Lewis. as well as compositions by group members who have been inspired by the landscape and the people. The harp has a long history in Lewis dating back to at least 1650 when Ruaridh Dall Morison – ‘The Blind Harper’ – was born in Bragar. With the help of the Clarsach Society and the inspired teaching of Alison and Wendy, the harp has finally returned to Lewis.
