Join Anne Denholm and Eira Lynn Jones for an atmospheric recital of contemporary works in which each piece creates a vivid and colourful sound world to transport your imagination and emotions, from a deep- sea lagoon to a quirky, relentless procession and dance. This recital will feature both solo and duet works, including uniting the sounds of the clarsach and pedal harp in this very special double anniversary year!

Anne Denholm

Anne is one of the leading British harpists of her generation and served as Official Harpist to HRH The Prince of Wales from 2015-2019.

As a soloist and chamber musician, and with her flute and harp duo partner, Alena Walentin, she  gives regular recitals across the U.K. and further afield.

New music is a large part of Anne’s work. She is a founding member of award-winning contemporary experimental quartet, The Hermes Experiment, who have commissioned over sixty composers in the last six years.

Eira Lynn Jones

Eira is a freelance harpist, performing on pedal harp and clarsach. Her career includes orchestral work, recordings, compositions, technique booklets, chamber music and her popular workshops for harpists of all levels. She has been guest artist at harp events in South Africa, Ireland, Denmark, Iceland, Greece and U.S.A. Studying with Kathleen Bride (a pupil of Marcel Grandjany) gave her a passion for teaching, which she shares in her projects. She is Head of Harp at the RNCM, and is an examiner and adjudicator. Eira’s CDs include many works on the ABRSM and Trinity Syllabus.
