Gwen Màiri

Gwen grew up in a Welsh speaking home in St. Andrews and graduated from the RSAMD. She is still based in Glasgow where she balances her passion for traditional music on the clàrsach with chamber and orchestral work on the pedal harp. Gwen has released two solo albums: Mentro (2019), rooted in the Welsh tradition, and Douze Noëls (2021) which is a collection of Christmas music from the Basque Country. Her playing can also be heard on the albums of Gwilym Bowen Rhys (O Groth y Ddaear, 2016, and Arenig, 2019), 10 Mewn Bws (2013) and Kathod (2022).
