John Hoare

John was one of the founders of the EIHF in 1981, and he has remained closely associated with the Festival ever since. Designing, repairing and restoring harps has been John’s life since the age of 20, when he discovered that his true ability lay in creating and improving instruments, rather than playing them! Pilgrim Harps, which he jointly established over 40 years ago, today enjoys a worldwide reputation for the quality of its pedal harps and clarsachs.
