Michael Rooney

Michael is a prolific composer and is widely regarded as one of the foremost players of the traditional Irish harp. Michael was announced as the TG4 Composer of the Year 2017. Originally from Scotstown, Co. Monaghan and now resident in Sligo, Michael’s output as a composer is impressive and includes four publications of recent suites, as well as thirteen major suites for harp and ensemble or orchestra.
