Patsy is known for her clàrsach playing and singing performances and recordings over many decades with the duo Sileas, the group The Poozies and other ensembles including Clan Alba. She is an experienced clarsach teacher and examiner including at the RCS in Glasgow and teaches Kodály musicianship for NYCoS (National Youth Choir of Scotland) and at the Gaelic medium primary school Taobh na Pairce in Edinburgh. She has an honours degree in Celtic Studies from Edinburgh University and was one of the first musicians in residence at the School of Scottish Studies there. Patsy is one of the Artistic Advisers for the EIHF and in 2013, she was inducted into the Scottish Traditional Music Hall of Fame.
