Ruth Keggin

Ruth is a Manx Gaelic singer passionate about bringing the music and language from her native Isle of Man to the wider world. Inspired to learn to speak and sing in her island’s tongue, having been brought up listening to Scottish Gàidhlig and Irish singers, she has recorded six albums, the most recent with Scottish harpist Rachel Hair. She has performed numerous times on BBC Radio and TV and at major festivals worldwide. When not performing, she works as the Manx Language Development Officer for Culture Vannin, promoting the Manx Gaelic language both nationally and internationally.
