Laoise Kelly, from Westport, County Mayo is one of Ireland’s leading traditional harpers. She has performed and recorded with the foremost artists in Irish music from The Chieftains to Kate Bush. She represented Ireland at the World Harp Festival in Paraguay and has three critically acclaimed solo albums, ‘Just Harp’ (1999), ‘Ceis’ (2010), and ‘Fáilte Uí Cheallaigh’ (2015). Laoise also has a string of credits to her name, winning several All-Ireland Harp competitions as well as the Waterford Crystal harp at the Belfast Bicentennial Harp Festival 1992. She has featured on numerous TV and radio programmes both in Ireland and internationally, and tutors regularly at World Academy of Music & Dance at University of Limerick.
