TEACHING
METHOD E+M: Teaching will be initially by ear with written music
In this course, we embark on a rhythmic adventure through the Colombian-Venezuelan plains with Joropo, featuring one of the most crucial rhythms, “Seis por Derecho.” Infused with a hint of Caribbean flair, we showcase Cumbia, complemented by the rhythmic appeal of syncopation. Exploring the nuances of 3/4 and 4/4 time signatures, we unravel the rich musical tapestry that defines these diverse landscapes. This course is intended for players of Latin American harps and players of other harps with a familiarity of the genre can also join.
