W11 - Delicious Little Fragments Margaret Stewart

Margaret will offer insights into her own repertoire and teach a few Gaelic songs and/or choruses which can easily be picked up in a limited time. Where available, the historical or social context of the songs will also be imparted and discussed. Important aspects of Gaelic song performance such as attention to correct pronunciation, assonance, phrasing and vowel lengths may also be included in the workshop. No previous knowledge of the Gaelic language or Gaelic song is required and students will be given a copy of the song words to take away.
