    Heather Downie

    Hailing from Dunblane, Heather performs and teaches worldwide.  She has a first class degree and postgraduate diploma from The Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama (now the RCS) in Scottish music.  She was also a finalist in the BBC’s Young Traditional Musician of the Year in 2015.  Her album ‘Nae Sweets for Shy Bairns’ was described as an ‘absolute monster album’ which will ‘open your eyes and amaze your ears’.  Heather currently teaches and lectures at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
