Malachy Arnold

A young and innovative harpist from Glasgow, with roots in both Irish and Scottish traditional music Malachy creates aunique sound with his exhilarating fingernail style and rhythmic playing.  He learned from Breton harpist Tristan LeGovic, Gillian Fleetwood from Scotland and his aunt, Laoise Kelly, in County Mayo.  Malachy plays a varied repertoire from traditions across Western Europe and a number of self-compositions, mixed with other contemporary genres of music. Notable past performances include: Celtica Valle d’Aosta (ITA) Celtic Connections 2023, Eden Music Festival 2022, and Achill International Harp Festival 2017-19 (IRE).
