    Maria Monk

    16 year old Maria is a student at Glasgow Gaelic School.  With parents from the Western Isles, she is a fluent Gaelic speaker with a deep love of singing, dancing and music. She has been playing the Clarsach for 7 years, currently studying with Christine Edwards, and has regularly competed at the Royal National Mòd, winning awards for her solo playing and singing with self – accompaniment.
